Why Mangrove Forest keep reduce?

Excessive use of single-use plastics is one of the main reasons that contribute to the reduction of Mangrove forest. These pictures are not from Google search, they were pictures we took in a fishing village somewhere in Malaysia. It was a shocking sight. Can you imagine as you walk around the unique local stilt houses, what you see underneath are massive colourful single-use plastics covering the whole place? Its easy to think these must be the doing of the local villagers, but no, they are rubbish that came in with the tide, they can come from all over the world.

Mangrove trees breath through the root system. Imagine our mouth and our nose are being forcefully covered, how would we feel?

City dwellers often said to us - “but we are living in the city, what is it that we can do to help improve the situation for our Mangrove forest?” Our answer is - “You can help by reducing one single-use plastic at a time.”
